TICKETS for one of the greatest sporting events in the world of table tennis have gone on sale - four months ahead of the English Open Championships at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
The world's most exciting players will soon be stepping out in Sheffield and fans will be in for a pleasant surprise. In a bid to catch the next generation of table tennis champions, the English Table Tennis Association have pegged ticket prices at an attractively low level for the event on Wednesday 26th until Sunday 30th January 2011.
"We gave a great deal of thought to the pricing and felt that it would be a great opportunity for many youngsters and their families to see the very best players in action. One of the best ways to attract youngsters into the game is to show them how exciting it can be at the very top," said Event Director Mike Holt.
He added: "There's no better opportunity to see the best players than at the English Open which last year was voted the best Pro Tour event in the world." said Holt who received the award from the International Table Tennis Federation in Moscow.
"We are committed to providing the best possible action at a competitive price and in this acute economic climate that's what we are setting out to do," he added.
