ITTA Senior Ranking Scheme 2011/12

16 August 2011

The ITTA Board, assisted by the ITTA Ranking Committee, has today published a revised Senior Ranking Scheme for the new season 2011/12 following consultation with the 4 provincial Branches and other interested parties. The revised Scheme is being introduced on a trial basis.

The main revisions to the new Scheme are:

  1. Bonus Points:  Should the entry in a particular tournament for the Men’s or Women’s Singles events be less than the minimum level, bonus points will be reduced by 50% for that tournament.
  2. Removal of Players from Ranking Lists: Players who have not competed in any ITTA Senior Ranking events during the previous season have been removed from the Ranking Lists.
  3. Procedural Matters: All events within multi event tournaments i.e. Grand Prix will be treated as one event and no interim rankings will be generated in the process.
  4. Ranking Master:  Kenneth Strong has been appointed as Ranking Master to deal with any queries and appeals.
