Senior Rankings 2010/11

The ITTA has today released the Senior Ranking Scheme which has been adopted for Season 2010/11, following consultation with all stakeholders.

The new Scheme can be downloaded in the Policies Section of the ITTA website and will run as a pilot during the 2010/11 season. It will be adjusted as necessary during the season should unforeseen difficulties arise.

The amendments included in the new Scheme are designed to deal with a number of issues which include the following:

   a. National Team Tournament: award of ranking points for matches between men and women

   b. Dropping of Players from Ranking Lists: following periods of inactivity

   c. Minimum Entry Levels for Tournaments: these must be achieved to retain ranking status

   d. Classes/Band: amendments to bonus awards

   e. Award of Bonuses:

   f. Participation points: award of 20 points per player for participation

   g. Appeals: appeals to be submitted to Ranking Master, as necessary

Any queries in relation to the ranking scheme should be forwarded to secretary@irishtabletennis.com
