WELSH DOUBLE AT STIGA MUNSTER OPEN!
Welsh duo Ryan Jenkins and Charlotte Carey won the Men’s and Women’s Singles at last weekend’s Stiga Munster Open in Killarney. The event attracted a very large entry of 232 players including a number of players from England, Scotland and Wales.
In the Men’s Singles Final, Jenkins beat Scotland No. 1 Gavin Rumgay 3/1 and teamed up with Irish player Gavin Maguire to win the Men’s Doubles. Charlotte Carey beat English No. 4 Karina LeFevre 3/2 in a closely fought Women’s Singles Final. In addition, Charlotte won the Mixed Doubles partnered by Maguire.

Men’ Singles: Semi Finals: G. Rumgay beat P. Graham 3/0; R. Jenkins beat G. Maguire 3/0.
Final: R. Jenkins beat G. Rumgay 3/1
Women’s Singles: Final: C. Carey beat K. LeFevre 3/2
Junior Girls: Final: E. O’Reilly beat E. Ludlow
Cadet Girls: Final: H. Lynch-Dawson beat K. McGlone
Under 12 Girls: Final: K. Walsh beat R. Finn
Junior Boys: Final: D. O’Brien beat Shi Zhao Li
Cadet Boys: Final: T. Davis beat J. Porter
Under 12 Boys: Final: A. Gillen beat E. McGovern
