A night 75 years in the making…


The ITTA is hosting a “75th Anniversary Dinner” on the 3rd of November in the Stillorgan Park Hotel, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin. The event will start at 7.30 pm (sharp) with a drinks reception, which will offer those present the opportunity to renew acquaintances with each other and browse some fascinating material from the ITTA archive. Dinner will be served at 8.15pm. Tickets are almost sold out with only 15 remaining – please book your ticket if you have not already – details below.

“We are delighted to announce that our guest speaker will be Mr.Richard Yule, CEO of the English Table Tennis Association. Richard is an excellent speaker with a long and illustrious history in the game as a player, coach and administrator. He has some 285 caps for Scotland, won the Norwich Union Irish Trophy in Dublin on 27th November 1979, and was NPC of the Irish Senior Team at the European Championships in Stuttgart in 1992. He has been the major driving force behind the regeneration of the English Association and in particular their increase in membership,”said ITTA Chair, Pat Hunter.

The night will allow people to relive or experience many memories from the last 75 years. A chance to meet old friends, make new friends and learn about the history of our association.

Speaking about the launch Mrs Hunter said “This occasion offers a unique opportunity to everyone who has a love for the sport of table tennis to come together and enjoy a night of celebration, nostalgia, and renew old acquaintances from the distant and not-so-distant past”.
