World Schools: ITTA Seek Expressions of Interest

The Executive Committee (EC) of the International School Sport Federation ISF has decided to entrust the organisation of the World Schools Table Tennis Championship 2010 to Brno, Czech Republic.

This competitions is open to individual schools. One Boys team and one girls team could be sent from Ireland. Entries must be made through the ITTA and schools should be aware that ther may be a significant amount of fundraising required to support the cost of travelling to this top class table tennis event.There is no financial support available from the ITTA to assist schools in entering this event.

The ITTA may decide to organise a qualifying competition if  anumber of schools express a strong interest in taking part - expressions of interest should be received by 29th September, 2009. Final entries to be made in February, 2010. If any further information is required, please contact

A school team consists of a minimum of:

4 players

1 NPC(teacher)

1 Head of Delegation

1 Umpire

7 Total(Head of Delegation and Coach roles cannot be performed by the same person)

  1. All students must have been born in 1993, ’94, ’95, or ’96.
  2. Tournament Dates(25-31 March: 7 days)
  3. Hospitality costs for 1 team of 7 would be €1939(not including travelling costs). Tournament takes place in Brno, Czech Republic.
